Parent Review & Deletion Request

Exercise your rights under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 16 CFR § 312.6) to review, refuse further collection of, or request deletion of your child's personal information.

As a parent or guardian, you have the right under the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA, 16 CFR § 312.6) to:

  • Review the personal information collected from your child, and receive a description of the types of information collected;
  • Refuse to permit any further collection or use of your child's personal information; and
  • Direct deletion of your child's personal information.

RevolutionEd provides this service to your child's school. Under the COPPA Schools Exception and FERPA, your school/district is the custodian of your child's records and verifies parent requests, so we will route your request to them and act on their verified instruction. Your request is tracked on a 30-day response clock.

Please note: if you ask us to delete, or to stop collecting, information that is reasonably necessary for the service, the school may no longer be able to provide your child the service (16 CFR § 312.6(c)).
